Swedish massage is the manipulation of muscles by way of different techniques being used by the practitioner. Massage dates thousands of years ago and is known to benefit the aching body through a hands on approach

How does it work?

Due to the tension carried in the muscles from exersion or exercise lactic acid forms creating tired and sore muscles. They cannot ease without the aid of new oxygenated blood flushing them out via the lymphatic system. Tendons and muscle fibres within the body need to be streched to release pain and toxins. swedish massage warms the areas of the body with slow stroking movements before going in deeper to break down the knots and tight stressed areas.

Benefits of swedish massage

Increases blood circulation bringing more oxygen and nutrients into the muscles

Increases lymphactic drainage removing toxins form the body

Increased sebum production helping to improve the skins suppleness and resistance to infections

Warms muscles and helps release lactic acids

Aids mobility as muscles are stretched

Reduces stress and anxiety

What happens during a treament?

You are covered with towels during the treatment and the only area of the body exposed is the area worked on by the practitoner. You will be laying on the massage couch and oils are applied. Slow massage techniques are applied first to warm the muscles before deeper hacking and kneading movements take place

What will I feel?

A complete relaxation and feeling of being re-energised

Treatment Time 60 minutes £35

Hopi Ear candles have been used by many cultures as an effective natural therapy since ancient times. Ear candles have a purely physical function and create a light suction action and the movement of the flame creates a vibration of air in the ear candle, generating a massage like effect on the eardrum

How does it work?

The treatment is carried out whilst you are lying on a massage couch. The candle is then placed in the outer ear and ignited. The warm air softens any debris and excess ear wax, which may be released from the ear naturally over a few days following the treatment. The gentle heat stimulates the peripheral blood circulation, lymphatic and immune system

The benefits of Hopi Ear Candles

Some of the benefits and conditions that can be helped are

Headaches

Migraines

Sinus problems

Rhinitis ( Hay fever)

Tinnitus

Vertigo

Cold and Flu

Swimmers ear

Pressure relief after flying or diving

What to expect from a treatment

Following the candling a neck and facial massage is carried out. This enhances the actions of the candles. At the end of the treatment the candles are opened and the residue examined. Depending on the outcome further treatments may be required

What will I feel?

A light suction action to the ear drum which generates a soft, soothing and relaxing feeling

Reiki is a gentle, safe and non intrusive healing technique that is effective for both physical conditions and for helping you to find your emotional balance. Its works primarily on the spiritual level moving through to the mental, emotional and physical body.
Reiki is a form of energy healing work. It is a technique where a Reiki practitioner uses variations of “laying of hands” on, or just above, the physical body and acts as a “channel” of a higher source of healing energy. This energy source vibrates at a very high frequency that is channeled through the practitioner and then is focused with a strong intention mentally directing to and flowing through the client.
Reiki naturally unblocks and balances the flow of our unseen subtle energy (referred to as our life force energy) through unseen ports called “chakras” and meridians. Regular Reiki sessions can help to reduce stress and anxiety promoting relaxation, thereby facilitating the body’s natural healing process.
Reiki is effective for both chronic and acute conditions and is suitable for all ages and even pets. It can be also used safely along side prescribed medication.

How does it work?

The method of receiving Reiki is very simple. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel through which the natural energy flows to the areas of the body that needs it at that moment in time

Benefits of a treatment

These are just some of the benefits that may be obtained through receiving a treatment

Acceleration of the natural healing process

Helps combat long term pain

Rebalances the immune system

Deep relaxation and revitalisation

Relieves stress and anxiety

Boosts energy levels

What happens during a treatment?

You will be fully clothed whilst lying on the massage couch. The Reiki practitioner then places their hands in a sequence of positions on or above the whole body

What will I feel?

You may experience a sensation of heat or tingling as the energy flows from the practitioners hands. After the treatment you may feel relaxed, calm, energised, emotional, grounded and thinking more clearly. This is all part of the natural healing process

Treatment Time Allow 2 hours £40
